GATHERING RIGHTS: Included in the sale are servitude rights to collect water from the springs on land immediately to the south of the reservoir site within an area shown on the title plan to convey the water to the reservoir via gathering drains and to lay a pipe from the reservoir to Lumsden.

It is located 7.5 miles to th enorth west of Alford (population 2,200) and 14 miles to the south of Huntly (population 4,400). From the A97 at the north end of Lumsden , a tarred private road is taken Eastwards, signposted to the Lumsden Bothy. After 900 Metres, there is a parking area at Scottish Waters Lumsden New Reservoir. The former reservoir site is located within a grass field circa 40 metres from the south west corner of the new reservoir.
